First Place in the Logistics Track at the Jeddah Hackathon

King Abdulaziz University congratulates student Salwa Abdulrahim from the Department of Information Technology on achieving a remarkable milestone by winning first place with her team’s project Drone Witness in the Logistics Track of the Jeddah Drones Hackathon . The project aims to enhance the efficiency of traffic accident response through the use of drones and artificial intelligence for real-time accident detection and analysis, contributing to faster response times and a positive impact in saving lives.

"Wijdan Al-Zahrani, a master's student in Human Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine, has won first place at the 8th Annual Conference of the Saudi Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences for her innovative research in the genetics of inflammatory bowel diseases

Archery Championship

The student Abdulrahman Al-Jahani, the Saudi champion in archery, and a student at the College of Earth Sciences at King Abdulaziz University, won first place in the first West Asian Championship and third place in the second Arab Indoor Championship held in Iraq. This achievement adds to the Saudi national team's total of 50 medals in both championships.

Best Environmental and Urban Design Project in the Middle East

In a remarkable achievement, Mahmoud Ibrahim Hariri from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at #KingAbdulazizUniversity (#KAU) has won 1st place in the Best Environmental Architecture and Urban Design Project category in the Middle East. The award, organized by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (#IFLA), recognized his innovative project, “Jeddah Valley Urban Park,” under the supervision of Dr. Amer Mohammed Habibullah.

Best Individual Geospatial Application Award at the 2024 National Geospatial Platform Forum

The student Randa Al-Harbi from the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at King Abdulaziz University won the "Best Geospatial Application" award for individuals at the National Geospatial Platform Forum 2024. The event was organized by the Saudi Geological Survey (GEOSA) for her innovative application "Sayda".

First Place in the Language and Technology Track of the ‘Harf’ Competition

Nour Al-Wedad, an international student at King Abdulaziz University, achieved first place in the Language and Technology track of the ‘Harf’ competition organized by the King Salman Global Arabic Language Complex, aimed at promoting the global status of the Arabic language and supporting the Kingdom’s efforts in teaching and spreading it to non-native speakers.

The Entrepreneurship Club at King Abdulaziz University Wins the Most Impactful Award in Saudi Arabia

The Entrepreneurship Club at King Abdulaziz University secured first place among the most impactful university entrepreneurship clubs in Saudi Arabia, as part of the Empowering University Entrepreneurship Clubs program. The award was presented during the Biban 24 Forum organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monshaat) under the theme ‘A Global Destination for Opportunities.

Third Place in the Electronic Poster Competition for the Dentistry Category

King Abdulaziz University congratulates Dr. Dana Hashem Al-Habshi, a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, on winning third place in the E-Poster Presentation Competition for the Dentist category. Her research was conducted during her internship year under the supervision of Dr. Hummam Bahamam and Dr. Bassam Zidan. The competition took place during the FDI Regional Congress, held in conjunction with the 2025 Annual Conference of the Saudi Dental Society (SIDC), in collaboration with the International Association for Dental Research
