20260412890The Maritime Navigation program is designed to prepare qualified personnel in navigation sciences, ship operations, and management, in accordance with academic standards and the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and STCW Convention 78, ensuring international recognition of its graduates. The program combines theoretical study with practical application in the areas of navigation, ship stability, maneuvering, maritime law, navigation and communication systems, and maritime safety and security. Its aim is to produce highly competent maritime officers with strong professional and operational skills. The program awards a Bachelor of Science degree in Maritime Navigation, in addition to professional certifications accredited under the STCW Convention and certified by the Public Transport Authority. This qualifies graduates to obtain the National Certificate of Competence and work in the maritime sector internationally. The program also emphasizes intensive practical training, including maritime training and advanced simulators, to enhance professional readiness and enable graduates to perform their responsibilities effectively in diverse maritime work environments.
