King Abdulaziz University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Distinguished Initiatives Association for Social Responsibility to establish a partnership in support of the Future Industrialists initiative and sustainable projects with tangible community impact. The signing took place on the sidelines of a dialogue session led by H.E. the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, at the King Faisal Conference Center.

Signing on behalf of the university was the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Mohammed bin Reda Kabli, while Dr. Mohanad bin Naeem AlShaikh, Board Member of the Distinguished Initiatives Association, represented the association. Through this partnership, both parties aim to advance the initiative’s objectives under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, helping prepare a promising generation to serve the Kingdom’s industrial sector.

Reflecting the two parties’ shared strategic vision, the agreement is designed to strengthen integrated cooperation and create an environment that fosters industrial innovation while supporting the discovery and development of young talent. It also provides a framework for expanding collaboration and opening new avenues for future partnership, further reinforcing the university’s role as a strategic partner in national initiatives and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in empowering national talent.

A key focus of the partnership is the creation of dedicated pathways for innovators by enabling students who win or qualify in the Future Industrialists initiative to enroll at the university through direct-admission pathways. It also seeks to strengthen the initiative’s academic and judging aspects by appointing a university faculty member to the final judging panel for the Makkah Region.

Areas of cooperation also include the launch of the Industry Platform, dedicated to students in general and higher education and hosted by the association. The platform will serve as an annual event bringing together leaders and inspiring figures to share success stories and awareness-building content that promotes greater understanding of the industrial sector.

In addition, the partnership includes the use of both parties’ venues and logistical capabilities to support joint events and activities, as well as coordination on high-impact projects that advance development goals. These efforts will strengthen integration between the academic and non-profit sectors, support sustainable development, and unify efforts to deliver impactful community initiatives.
