The Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences at King Abdulaziz University is a distinguished institution dedicated to advancing education and research in the field of rehabilitation and therapeutic sciences. The faculty was established in the academic year 1434H/1435H (2013/2014) by a royal decree from the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the aim of meeting the Kingdom's growing need for medical rehabilitation professionals, both male and female. The faculty is located within a leading medical center at King Abdulaziz University and is distinguished by its five academic departments, each offering a variety of specialized programs. In the Department of Occupational Therapy, students are trained to help patients regain mobility and the ability to perform daily activities. In the Department of Respiratory Therapy, they learn how to assist patients with respiratory system disorders. The Department of Physical Therapy focuses on using natural therapeutic methods to improve patient mobility and relieve pain. In the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics, students are taught how to design and fabricate various prosthetic limbs and supportive devices for patients in need. Meanwhile, the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders trains students to diagnose and treat communication and hearing-related issues. We take pride in offering high-quality academic programs and specialized training for our students, in addition to providing a modern and advanced educational environment.
