King Abdulaziz University President Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama and the CEO of
the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities, Dr. Hisham Alhaidari, visited the
exhibition accompanying the Interdisciplinary Medical Rehabilitation Conference,
organized by the university’s Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences.
During the tour, they reviewed the latest technologies, scientific innovations, and
modern applications in the fields of medical rehabilitation, as well as the research
projects and student innovations featured in the exhibition. These contributions
reflect the rapid development taking place in care, rehabilitation, and support
services for people with disabilities.
They also listened to briefings from participants and exhibitors on key initiatives and
recent experiences in treatment and rehabilitation, as well as the role of modern
technologies and artificial intelligence in developing health and rehabilitation
services. These advancements contribute to improving quality of life, enhancing
independence, and promoting community inclusion.
The Interdisciplinary Medical Rehabilitation Conference is a specialized scientific
platform that brings together researchers, healthcare practitioners, and experts from
inside and outside the Kingdom to exchange expertise and showcase the latest
evidence-based practices. The conference covers medical rehabilitation, physical
therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, speech-language pathology and
audiology, prosthetics and orthotics, in addition to the latest technological
applications and innovations related to rehabilitation sciences and healthcare.
This visit reflects the university’s commitment to supporting specialized scientific
conferences and strengthening partnerships and integration among academic
institutions, the healthcare sector, and relevant entities, in line with the objectives of
Saudi Vision 2030 to improve the quality of health and rehabilitation services.
