20260412890King Abdulaziz University President Dr. Tareef bin Yousuf Alaama inaugurated the
new Faculty of Law building on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the university’s main
campus, in the presence of Vice President for Campus Life and Operations Dr.
Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Amoudi.
During the inauguration ceremony, a visual presentation highlighted the building’s
facilities, followed by a tour of the faculty led by the university president. The new
building aligns with King Abdulaziz University’s objectives to enhance campus life by
providing a modern educational environment that supports the well-being of students
and staff, enriches their university experience, and contributes to building a more
distinguished, productive, and innovative academic community.
The building features 11 classrooms with a total capacity of 335 seats, a moot court
that supports practical training and student competitions by providing an environment
that closely simulates real courtrooms and litigation procedures, and two auditoriums
with a combined capacity of 160 seats. It also includes 50 offices allocated to the
dean, vice deans, heads of academic departments, faculty members, and
administrative staff, in addition to a 24-seat computer lab, a library, an extracurricular
activities area, a meeting room, a prayer room, a café, a dining hall, and parking
spaces.
In his remarks, Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Sultan bin Faihan Aba Al-Alaa noted
that the project represents an important milestone in the faculty’s journey. He said it
reflects the strong support the faculty receives from the university leadership and its
continued commitment to providing an integrated academic environment that
contributes to excellence in teaching, learning, scientific research, and community
service.
Dr. Aba Al-Alaa added that the building was designed as a modern educational
environment with advanced facilities and equipment that support teaching and
research. It provides students with interactive learning spaces that support their
academic journey and help them develop their legal knowledge and skills in an
environment that fosters creativity and excellence.
