King Abdulaziz University Hosts Certified Research Professional Program to Develop Research Talent

Academy 32 launched the Certified Research Professional program in partnership with King
Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, the Research, Development and Innovation
Authority, and King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research.
Supported by the Human Resources Development Fund “HADAF,” the program aims to
develop national talent in scientific research and innovation and is being held from July 5 to
July 16, 2026.

Designed to develop theoretical knowledge and applied skills in research design and
implementation, the program focuses on national research, development and innovation
priorities. Participants will build skills in reviewing scientific literature, identifying research
problems, designing methodologies, analyzing data, academic writing and scientific
publishing.

Comprising 11 core modules, the program covers the stages of scientific research, preparing
research proposals, formulating hypotheses, analyzing results, research ethics, and the use
of artificial intelligence in research. It targets bachelor’s and master’s degree holders
interested in research, development and innovation.

Over 10 days and 60 training hours, participants will engage in applied activities such as
preparing research proposals, analyzing scientific literature, case studies, and simulations of
research writing and peer review. These activities help enhance their readiness for
professional research practice.

Scheduled to be delivered across five cohorts in 2026, the program reinforces the
university’s role in building national research capabilities and supporting the research,
development and innovation ecosystem.
