During the ceremony, a distinguished group of researchers as well as administrative and technical staff were recognized in appreciation of their notable contributions to advancing scientific research and strengthening its outcomes in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in innovation, research, and development.

Also featured during the event was the signing of five strategic memoranda of understanding with academic and industry partners, including the University of Hail, Balubaid Group, Ali Saeed Al-Ghamdi Trading Est, Abdulla Fouad For Medical Supplies and Services, Eisai Pharmaceuticals, and Snibe Bio-Medical Company. These partnerships form part of the university’s efforts to expand collaboration aimed at advancing medical applications, preparing national talent, transferring knowledge, and developing advanced research infrastructure.

One of the agreements, signed with the University of Hail, focuses on strengthening academic and research cooperation in biomedical sciences, including immunology and genetics, with the aim of exchanging expertise, training human resources, and implementing joint research projects that serve both parties. Another agreement, concluded with Abdulla Fouad For Medical Supplies and Services, centers on enhancing laboratory and medical diagnostic capabilities, qualifying national talent in clinical testing, and supporting scientific research to develop preventive and diagnostic tools for diseases and epidemics.

A trilateral agreement signed with Balubaid Group and Ali Saeed Al-Ghamdi Trading Est aims to localize the manufacture of reagents and laboratory diagnostic kits for diseases endemic to the Kingdom, linking scientific research with the industrial sector and supporting self-sufficiency in this field. Another agreement, signed with Eisai Pharmaceuticals, focuses on combating Alzheimer’s disease through the activation of amyloid diagnostic testing and the establishment of a specialized central laboratory, with an emphasis on training students in health colleges and supporting clinical studies.

In addition, the agreement signed with Snibe Bio-Medical Company seeks to advance biomedical engineering, establish an advanced laboratory for clinical services and food and lifestyle research, and create a practical framework for joint educational, research, and commercial cooperation. These efforts further strengthen the role of the King Fahd Medical Research Center as a leading hub for health innovation at both the local and international levels.

Among the Kingdom’s leading specialized research centers, the King Fahd Medical Research Center continues to play an active role in supporting scientific studies and innovation in the healthcare sector locally and globally.
