King Abdulaziz University and the Saudi Sports for All Federation Sign MoU to Promote Community Sports and Healthy Lifestyles

King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, signed a
memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA). The MoU
aims to develop community sports and increase levels of physical activity among students
and the wider community, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The signing took place on [date] at

Representing the Saudi Sports for All Federation was its President, HRH Prince Khaled bin
Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, while King Abdulaziz University was represented by its President,
Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama. Through the memorandum, both parties seek to promote
integration and make use of their sports and training capabilities and expertise in a way that
serves students and the community.

A key objective of the MoU is to promote healthy and active lifestyles in the Kingdom, with a
particular focus on increasing physical activity among King Abdulaziz University students. It
also seeks to develop community sports through an innovative model inspired by Arab
culture, while making use of the university’s various sports resources and facilities.

Areas of cooperation include allocating and preparing the university’s sports facilities and
halls, facilitating logistical access for equipment, providing organizational support, and
encouraging student participation. The Saudi Sports for All Federation will oversee the
quality of jointly organized events and programs and ensure that operational preparations
and support services comply with approved standards and requirements throughout the
implementation period.

As part of its initial and anticipated projects, the MoU aims to implement a range of sports
and community programs and activities, including running races and motivational programs.
Through this cooperation, both parties aim to reach an annual participation target of at least
500 people in sports programs and events, while creating an engaging sports environment
for all segments of society.
