King Abdulaziz University and Medical Masar Alshefaa Sign MoU to Develop Talent and Advance Medical Diagnostics

King Abdulaziz University, represented by the King Fahd Medical Research Center, signed a memorandum of understanding with Medical Masar Alshefaa for Medical Devices and Laboratory Supplies. The MoU aims to enhance research excellence in life sciences and qualify national talent in clinical analysis in support of research, human health, and environmental health.

 

Representing the university at the signing was Vice President for Scientific Research and Innovation Prof. Amin bin Youssef Noaman, while Medical Masar Alshefaa was represented by its Executive Director, Mr. Essam Qenaei Ali Al-Subhi. Through the MoU, both parties seek to strengthen integration between research excellence in life sciences and talent development.

 

The MoU aims to achieve productive cooperation between the two sides to advance scientific research and develop qualification and training programs for human talent in related fields. It also includes providing specialized advisory support in clinical and research analyses, as well as exchanging technical and scientific consultations on data and results analysis in coordination with relevant laboratories and external entities.

 

Areas of joint cooperation include developing reagents and medical diagnostics used to monitor and diagnose endemic diseases in Saudi Arabia. Separate agreements derived from this MoU will also define the roles and commitments of both parties in implementing joint initiatives.

 

As part of its initial and expected projects, the MoU targets clear annual performance indicators to activate and follow up on cooperation. These include launching two programs to develop and qualify human talent, in addition to presenting a project in advisory support to ensure the quality of scientific and implementation outcomes under the cooperation between the two parties.
