    Scientific research is considered the heart of universities in general, and the main second role of the membership of the teaching staff after their first role of teaching. In addition any country's development is measures by the growth and advance of scientific research in such. That's why scientific research level in any country is given a "standard" role to asses the advancement or deterioration of such. Based on this notion, the policy of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques is known to support the scientific research in all its possible ways and on all levels, and in accordance with the leading role played by King Abdel Aziz University in scientific research field. A Research center was established in the Faculty of Literature and human sciences in 1421, due to the concern and continuous support of the Head of the University manager and the ongoing support of the University Secretary for higher studies and scientific research.
