JEDDAH , KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Dear colleagues, students, and website visitors, welcome

Nursing profession  in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has wittnessed over the years great development in its': educational programs and levels; diverse and cultural sensitive scope of practice;  growing  legislation, certification and registration  processes;  variations in job titles and opportunities at( health care providing settings, universities and nursing institutes, research centers, legal and administrative offices) , in both governmental and private sectors.

The number of competently qualified national nursing graduates fluctuated in the last decade to be in thousands in most of the kingdom regions. Many national employers and international educators reflects on them as being  competitive among international  nursing workforce, and  able to meet the quality standards of 21st century market demands.

This important outcome was not inventible to achieve without the devotion, care, and attention from all governmental cabinets and personnel, starting from the king himself ( his belief and support in enhancing women role to improve and advance human life in KSA, enabled such changes  to see the light).

To continue these changes in nursing steadily, constantly and fruitfully, we need to search & overcome the many challenges yet lay ahead of us  in this profession today , but with the same depth and importance as well, to consider and grasp the many opportunities present to us in our beloved country. Those who will use them wisely, not only will survive successfully in nursing but will also prosper in life.
