Abstract |

This study addresses ( The verses of the Holy Qur'an related to orphans and needy people) . It is an analytical and rhetorical study of the verses related to the orphan and needy issues featuring the rhetorical arts characterized in the Qur'anic context and how these arts are related to orphan and needy issues. In addition , the study discusses the extent to which the way the orphan and needy are addressed to their special conditions focusing on the rhetorical meanings by underlying and analyzing them rhetorically in the light of the three rhetoric sciences ‘Ilmi Albalaghati ‘Ilmo Albayany and ‘Ilmo albadi’i ( Knowledge of Semantics, Knowledge of Eloquence and Good Style , and Knowledge of Improving Rhetoric ). The study further aims at underlying the social aspects as well as the educational teachings implied in the Holy Qur'an through these verses.
This study has adopted the analytical procedure by employing the three rhetoric sciences for the study of the verses stating their supreme rhetoric value. The Knowledge of Rhetoric , with its various patterns ,has much contributed in featuring the similes , the metaphors , the metonymies , and their role in explaining and discovering the implications of the Qura'nic context and their semantic values within the context of the verses, by getting them closer to the listener and reader alike. The Knowledge of Semantics has also contributed to the study of the structures including mentioning , omission , expounding, delaying , definition , indefinite articles , laconism , periphrasis and any other rhetoric patterns. As for the Knowledge of Improving Rhetoric , the study has stated the implications of the verses including the verbal and moral utterances such as homonymy, antithesis , comparison ,assonance , analogy and any other patterns of this science that has greatly contributed to make the Qura'nic context appear in its incomparable characteristics and miraculous status.
In this research , I have concluded that the orphan and needy issue is one of the most significant topics and subjects that have been given great attention in the Holy Qur'an. The orphan and needy both have been discussed in many topics in the Holy Qur'an in various ways and approaches. Each topic has its own particularity and eloquence that is different from other subjects however it appears similar or close in meaning and method . Notwithstanding this difference ,all these verses are characterized by the highest degree of rhetoric and supreme eloquence. |
