Abstract : There is no doubt that the Arab and Islamic world represent one body so that if a member of this body complained in the Far East, the rest of the body falter, even if in the far west, and as such is covered by this study (the impact of the French campaign in Egypt on the Hijaz from the period 1213-1216 Hijiri / 1798 - 1801 AD). There have been many scientific references dealing with and investigating the French campaign on Egypt. However, to the best of our knowledge, no self- contained scientific study demonstrating how far Hijaz was influenced by that campaign was carried out. Therefore, this study dealt with (in the preface) the French campaign on Egypt, its motives and the indication of some of its results, as I discussed in (Chapter I) the political attitude and the political situation that prevailed in the Hijaz during the advent of the French expedition to Egypt. It also demonstrates the attitude of the Ottoman Empire being the ruling body for the Islamic caliphate towards that campaign on one of its mandates, which is Egypt. The study demonstrates in (Chapter II) the role of the population of Hijaz in supporting the Egyptian resistance either with money or weapons. This sometimes entailed sending irregular military forces, and Sharif Ghalib's attitude to all these events. The study ends with the third Chapter dealing with the impact of the French campaign in Egypt on the economic situation in the Hijaz, this issue is worth studying due to the economic relevance of Hijaz to Egypt during this period, whether by sending provisions produced in Egypt to the Hijaz, or because that Egypt was a significant gateway - at the time - to the Moroccan pilgrimage road for the pilgrims coming from Africa or the Maghreb. Therefore, it was inevitable for the economic situation in the Hijaz to be influenced as a result of Egypt's concern to resist the invasion at the time and, on the other hand, the preoccupation of the French invaders to suppress that resistance. The study showed that the attitude of the people of Hijaz concerning this campaign was an honorable and positive illustration of what we mentioned in this abstract, which was specified in the Hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him "Believers who love and have mercy on each other are like a human body whose organs suffer from fever and weakness when part of it suffers."
