Abstract : The theme of this study had arisen from scarcity of research pertinent to talented children as applied to Saudi children in kindergartens. This is especially true for researching the parents trends in dealing with their talented children. The study Is aiming at exploring parental methods and styles in dealing with their talented children in kindergartens in Jeddah. The study is also concerned with revealing differences between methods of working and non-working mothers in dealing with their talented children, and identifying important differences in treatment based on children’s gender (male/female) and socioeconomic background levels. The study is conducted on sample of forty (40) talented Saudi children enrolled in public and private kindergartens in Jeddah with am IQ of p> 130 on Stanford Binet IQ test with different levels of socioeconomic background between 4 and 6 years of age. Some important measure tools had been adopted in conducing this stud, examples are :- 1- Parents attitude measurement ( Emad El-Deen Esmail & Rushdy Fam 1964) 2- Bride test for talented preschoolers ( Farouk Al-Roussan, Mohammed Waleed Al-bach and Jousef Katamy, 1990) 3- Draw - A - Man “test” ( Fouad AbuHatab,1976 ) 4- Stanford binet IQ test ( Mohammed Abd El-Salam & Louis Meleika) 5- Socioeconomic background form ( Prepared By Manal Medene & Lotfeia Abd El-Shakour, 1995) 6- child’s personal data sheet (taken from kindergarten’s recode)) The study reached a number of assumption most important of which are :- 1- Significant statistical differences were detected at level 0.05 between working and non-working mothers. In average score on – parental attitudes measure – in favor of non-working mothers on coquetry only – , however, no significant differences were detected on other items of measure. 2- Significant statistical differences were also detected at level 0.01 between male and children, in average score on coquetry item only in favor of male child of non-working mothers, significant statistical differences were detected at level (p>0.05) on: - power assertion, over protection, psychologist pain arousal and discrimination in favor of medium versus highly educated mothers. 3- No significant statistical differences were found between average score of working and non-working mothers of differences socioeconomic background on the same scale. 4- Only 2.5% of sample covered by this research had shown the ability of mothers to discover the fact that their children are talented. It is evident that level of mother’s education had influenced the way how mothers dealt with their talented children.
