Abstract : New towns experience around the city of Jeddah were analysed by explaining the development process of Saudia town and new Bahra development. These two examples were selected for the differences that they bear in their purpose of development and their resultant urban fabric and structure. Necessary data was gathered from various sources to furnish the discussion on existing conditions and related analysis. Models of the development process are first discussed to establish a framework for this study.
