Abstract : The critical (applied) study is based on several hypotheses (the poet's formational vision, textual feature, communication mean, reading strategy, and reverse regression) applied directly on the literary text. The five hypotheses tackle the old poetic text in a modern prospective to open its locks, reach its aesthetic secrets, and show the relationship between the innovative and receiver. So, this modern applied study discusses the old text written by the pre-Islamic poet Al-Afwah Al-Awadi in view of Literary Communication Theory. So, the study aimed to clarify the existence of formational vision in its aspects by Al-Afwah Al-Awadi and showing the association of pride with his poems along with highlighting the aesthetic values featured in his poems through this theory. Using this theory proves that nonresistance of old text against modern critical reading. The vision unity between old and modern cultural structures is achieved in challenge of the time distance separating the old and modern.
