Abstract : The aim of this study is to explore the question of the effect of web-based learning through the development of a web-page for the research methodologies course ( 156 ) on the performance of the students in addition to measuring the students acceptance of this distance learning method. This study examined two hypothesis related to improving the performance of the students using the web which was not supported by the data collected. In addation, the study tested the second hypothesy which was related to the acceptance of this web based learning experience and it would be rated highly by the students. The data collected showed strong support for this method and the study recommends developing dynamic and interactive web pages for those courses offered by the university.
