Abstract : There were many fields that crashed into the two superpowers in the Middle Ages, namely the power of the Byzantine and Islamic power. The island of Sicily is one of these fields, which has seen several rounds completed to enter the island of Sicily under Islamic rule, did not surrender the Byzantine Empire for the exit of the island of Sicily from its grip, but continued to Mnawp Muslim rule of Sicily, and sent fleets and mimicked the plots and unrest that resulted after more than two centuries to Sicily exit from the grip of Islamic rule. And gained the island of Sicily by virtue of its location in the Mediterranean, the importance of geographical, political, economic, commercial, and was acquired key talking point in strength and activity and control in this basin is important. This research deals with the island of Sicily under Islamic rule from the movement of opening and proliferation, which lasted a long time to have been stability, and then deals with the Fatimid State and the entry of the island of Sicily in the rule, and focuses on the policy of the Fatimid state in the governance and management of the island of Sicily where the featured role of the family canis, which were the Fatimid policy on the island. It also sheds lights on the Byzantine Islamic conflict on the island of Sicily, who refused to surrender to the island out of its grip, and the expansion of the conflict that followed the opening of the island to the cities and republics of Italy and Rome up to the heart of the Christian world.
