Abstract : Lipocalin2 or LCN2. It is commonly called Neutrophil Gelatinase Associated Lipocalin (NGAL), LCN2 is mainly located on the 9th chromosome cytogenetic band 9q43.11 and has been advocated to take part in various biological procedures including acute organ damage and inflammation. In addition, has gained recent attention as both a potential biomarker and a modulator of human cancers such as breast cancer, which have increased levels of LCN2 in their plasma samples. Breast cancer makes up for one of the most common cancer cases made about 19.9% of all cancer cases in Saudi Arabia. This study research included 128 participants (50% control, 50% patients) in Jeddah city. gene polymorphisms (SNP rs11556770 ) on Breast cancer patients through the use of Tetra-Primer ARMS–PCR method. In addition, was measured LCN2 plasma protein expression by ELISA technique. The results of the study indicated that (100%) of the genotype was the normal allele (G/G). In addition, the plasma level of LCN2 was considerably elevated in patients compared to control (P= 0.001). It was found to be higher in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma patients (P= 0.001).
