KAU Hosts 7th Scientific Conference for GCC Medical Students

 

King Abdulaziz University is set to host the 7th Scientific Conference for the Medical Students in the GCC Countries at its main Ceremonial Hall and Conference Center from 13-16 February 2010, corresponding to 29 Safar-2 Rabi' Al-awwal 1431 under the auspices of HE Dr Khalid M. Al-Angari, Minister of Higher Education.

The four-day conference, one of the largest in the GCC region, is expected to attract over 1500 medical and science undergraduate and postgraduate students, and will include keynote presentations by renowned international scientists on osteoporosis, stem cells, medical education and cancers.

It will also witness over 50 workshops to be held at the Faculty of Medicine and the KAU Hospital.

An exhibition will also be staged on the sidelines of the conference to allow participating medical companies, including major pharmaceutical ones, to display and market their products.

The event will also provide a unique forum where medical professionals from the Kingdom and the GCC states will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and information in the field of medical education and the latest scientific developments.

The conference was previously held in Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman.
