Words from the Dean
In the name of God the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful; and may God’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his companions.
I am pleased and honored to welcome our students and congratulate them on their affiliation to the Faculty of Engineering at Rabigh. I would like to encourage all students to work hard and to acquire knowledge and experience in their field of study and to become distinguished engineers. I also call upon all faculty members and the administrative staff to give their best efforts in their academic and administrative tasks in order to provide a sound educational environment for our students as they are our prior and ultimate objective.
The college has taken fast and rapid steps since its inception in 2008. It has completed the establishment of its departments and academic programs with the design of their new curricula and study plans in accordance with national and international standards in order to reach distinctive learning outcomes in the field of science and engineering applications. The college also has taken concrete steps in the completion of facilities including up-to-date and top-notch engineering laboratories and workshops.
Recently, all academic programs (ME, EE, IE, CE, ChE) have been accredited by the Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. Such accreditation will provide us with global bench marking for our academic programs in order to follow international standards to maintain a reliable continuous improvements measures for our academic programs. ..more
For graduate studies, the Faculty of Engineering at Rabigh is poised to start establishing graduate programs (Masters) in accordance with the requirements and needs of the surrounding industrial community and the labor market.
