Prof. Hasan Alzahrani, scientific chair supervisor

For the past two decades, I had a great interest in diabetic foot. It attracted my attention as one of the most common health problems in our country, which deserves more efforts from researchers and health care providers in the fields of prevention and treatment. I have also observed it as a medical, social and economical problem. Furthermore, ignoring the fact of it relying on several medical specialties reflected negatively on the quality of care offered.
Out of sympathy for its patients, I always wanted to give the problem a greater deal of care. I was given the opportunity when Sheikh Muhammad Bin Husain Alamoudi, a prestigious business man, generously funded the diabetic foot research scientific chair. And this was the first brick in our diabetic foot research center. For that, my research team and I offer our gratitude to Mr. Alamoudi for sponsoring our scientific chair for next five years, and to His Excellency, Prof. Osama Tayeb for sponsoring the idea of launching scientific chairs in King  Abdulaziz University.
I would also like to acknowledge the followings:
-   Prof. Ahmad Nagadi            : KAU Vice President for Quality  Development
-   Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafil   : KAU Vice President for Projects
-   Dr. Adnan Almazrooa          : Ex-Dean for Medical College & Vice President
-    Prof. Abdulmalik Aljunaidi   : Dean for The Institute of Research and Consultancy
                                                        RAC
-   Dr. Haitham Linjawi       : Vice Dean for The Institute of  Research and
                                                  Consultancy RAC
-   Prof. Mahmoud Al Ahwal   : Dean for Medical College.
-    Dr. Osama Rayes                 : Vice Dean University Hospital   Director .

In years to come, we hope for our research to reach a deeper understanding of this complex medical problem. In addition, we aspire to eliminate it and enrich scientific research. As for researchers and volunteers, they wish to achieve scientific breakthroughs nationally and internationally in relation to diagnoses, prevention, awareness, and treating diabetic foot disorders
