CEES Visit to SEPCO

On 30 May, Tuesday, the Director for Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies (CEES), Prof. Iqbal Mohammad Ismail along with Prof. Ibrahim Hassan (Head of Air Pollution Unit) and Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami (Head of Solid Waste Unit) at CEES visited, the well-renowned environmental company of Saudi Arabia Saudi, the Gulf Environmental Protection Company (SEPCO).
The prime objective of this meeting with the SEPCO was to open up new avenues of collaborations with leading local industries and companies. Prof. Iqbal Mohammad Ismail represented the CEES by outlining the research activities being carried out at CEES, particularly on air pollution, solid waste and wastewater. He explained how the CEES with the new scientific and innovative ways is helping the Kingdom and its peoples in solving the local environmental problems with its indigenous resources.
The SEPCO representative explained the company achievements in savings the local environment from various kinds of pollution. They illustrated the example of pharmaceutical waste that how the company is dealing with it according to world Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
