Mawhiba Summer Programme Launched at KAU

 

 A four-week summer programme organized jointly by KAU and King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has been launched on Saturday 11th July 2009, corresponding to 18th Rajab 1430. 

Events of the programme will take place at KAU main Ceremony and Conference Hall, KAU Faculty of Engineering and the Millennium Institute.

The programme include various training sessions on talent, thinking skills, coexistence art, elocution, teamwork skills, electronics, electronic design and robot.

3 levels of English language courses, sports activities, Umrah visits and visits to other factories and academic institutions will also be organized.

According to Dr Diya'a Shuja'a Al-Osmani, Supervisor General of KAU Talented Students' Center, the programme deals with many scientific issues and holds various activities with the aim of unleashing the potential of gifted participants in order to support the future growth of the Saudi society.

It is also aimed at using proper educational methods to guide the participants to develop their aptitudes to the maximum and enhance their scientific and social communication skills, self-learning skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
