Ways of improving sports conditions in Saudi Arabia discussed at KAU

 

Ways of pushing for improved football conditions in Saudi Arabia topped the agenda during the fourth academic meeting of the Faculty of Economics and Administration held, Thursday,  in collaboration with the Gulf Research Centre (GRC). Ahmad Eid, President of Saudi Football Federation (SAFF), pointed out that SAFF was doing its utmost to increase the number of registered players from 14.000 to 50.000 by 2016 and 150.000 by 2020, and the number of clubs from the current 153 to  200 by 2016 and 320 by 2020.  ASFF is also aiming to have the Saudi national team ranked within the top national teams worldwide within the next 7 to 10 years. 

The meeting also dealt with the deterioration of the Saudi football experience in recent years.
