King Abdulaziz University in partnership with the Saudi Basic Industries
Corporation (SABIC) will organize the SABIC's Scholarship Programme on Saturday 3rd Zul Qaeda 1429 at the Conference and Ceremony Hall.
Dr Abdullah Bin Mustafa Mihriji, Dean of the Students' Affairs, said the programme was an implementation of the three-year renewable agreement reached and signed by the KAU and SABIC last summer.
According to Dr Mihriji the agreement, which is supervised by the Graduate Students' Vice Deanship, SABIC will offer scholarships to some distinguished students.
The programme aims at qualifying outstanding administrative and engineering cadres to address the needs of the Saudi employment market.
Dr Mihriji added that the programme would include an orientation lecture on the requirements and benefits of the programme. The programme requires the applicant to be a Saudi national with an average of no less than 3.75 credits, and at least 60 hours of classes' attendance. Successful applicants will enjoy a range of benefits, including receiving housing allowances, medical insurances, books' allowances, bursaries and annual air tickets.
Dr Mihriji urged students, who meet the programme's requirements, to seize the opportunity and come forward to apply. Applicants are required to submit along with their application forms authenticated copies of their academic transcripts.
This year's programme targets students of the Faculty of Economics and Administration- specifically, the Departments of Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources and Administrative Information Systems. Also targeted are students at the Departments of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
Enrollment starts on Sunday 4th Zul Qaeda 1429 and lasts for 3 days from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at the Graduates' Hall, Deanship of Students' Affairs, 1st Floor.
