• DR. Shimaa M.Y., Ph.D. in Physiology (2013);
• Assistant Professor of Physiology and teaching under- and post graduate students, at physiology department, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University (2013-2018).
• Currently, I am an assistant professor of Medical Physiology, King Abdulaziz University, Rabigh, Saudi Arabia (2019-2020).
• 2013: Ph.D. in Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University (SCU), Ismailia, Egypt. Thesis title: “Assessment of the effect of gender on brain oscillations during memory tasks after exposure to acute stress: A quantitative electroencephalographic study”.

• 2008: M.Sc. in Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, (SCU), Ismailia, Egypt. Thesis title: “Quantitative Electroencephalographic Monitoring of the Electrical Activity of the Brain in Elderly Demented Patients in Comparison to Normal Aged Subjects”.
• Oct. 2003: M.B.B.Ch., Faculty of Medicine, (SCU), Ismailia, Egypt. Grade for graduation: Very Good with honors degree, 10th in arrangement.
• Reviewed many research papers (n= 11) for Digestive Diseases and Sciences, Springer (2019-2020); Molecular Neurobiology (2019), Springer and PSM Biological Research (2019), Asian journal of Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular biology (2020); and European journal of Medicinal Plants (2020) .
• Supervised two MD & two MS.c. theses on medical physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University.
• Has 10 national and international Journal publications and & working in many research teams as a principle investigator or an active member (First author; n =5 and Corresponding author; n = 6) .
• Shared in many national and international conferences and workshops including: a speaker in many conferences including, 8th Annual Conference of Medical Physiology in Mansoura University, 2017; international conference publications in the field of neuro- and electro-physiology in London (2014) & in Turkey (2012).
• A member in the FIRST PLACE WINNER in MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH GROUP COMPETITION, at the level of SCU, (2018-2019).
• A main Team member INITIATED & CONSTRUCTED the EXPERIMENTAL NEUROSCIENCE LABORATORY in the Physiology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University.
• The ELABORATOR of the idea of the first Neurobehavioral Workshop and the CO-ORDINATOR of the first and second neurobehavioral workshops of Medical Physiology Department, Faculty of Medicine, SCU.
• The COORDINATOR of the first physiology day in Faculty of Medicine, SCU, which was held in 2/3/2019.
• The CREATOR of a Facebook page "Physiology Made Easy" to help medical and paramedical students everywhere.
• A designer for the brochures and certificates of many events related to physiology.
• Objectives: As an ACADEMIC TEACHER: to improve methods of teaching medical physiology and methods of assessment for students based on the medical education guidelines. As a RESEARCHER: conduction and international publication of high quality multidisciplinary researches in cooperation with multidisciplinary scientific research teams.
