Profile

Mr. Faisal Alshref is an academic faculty at the Department of Biochemistry. Mr. Alshref is interested in infectious diseases and understanding the mechanism of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).  Mr. Alshref has worked closely with AMR leading scientists such as Dr. Christopher Schofield, Dr. Hosam Zowawi and others. 

Mr. Alshref has been a member of regional and multinational collaborations throughout his academic journey in the United States of America, Australia and the United Kingdom. His expedition in combating AMR is multidisciplinary as it involves different sectors and stakeholders such as: The University of Oxford, The University of Queensland, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, The Ministry Environment, Water and Agriculture and King Abdullah International Medical Center.   

As part of his commitment, Mr. Alshref believes in the importance of raising the awareness of AMR and thus he uses his social media platforms in the purpose of AMR awareness.
