Architect and designer. She was born in alKharj (a small town near Riyadh) and now lives in Jeddah. She got her PhD from London South Bank University. Her thesis title is: “Home Environment in Transition; Women and House Design in the City of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia”. It is a study about the changes that happened to Saudi women in the last 50 years of the previous century and the social and economic effects of these changes on house design and the home environment. Al Nafea has lectured on this issue in many conferences and symposiums and published a few articles in both languages Arabic and English. She has a wide experience on traditional home environment and the traditional mud brick courtyard house in Saudi Arabia
