History

We are located in the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Jeddah. The city is on the Red Sea in Western Saudi Arabia also nicknamed the bride of the Red Sea. It is the largest sea port on the Red Sea, and the second largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city, Riyadh, with a population of approximately 3.4 million and a major commercial hub in the country.

Jeddah sprawls along the coast of the Red Sea comprising 135 districts, connected together by the Corniche (waterfront area), which is the largest in the Kingdom - a seaside avenue full of unusual art sculptures and nearly 30 km long with a great bunch of hotels, beaches and resorts clustered around it. The old city or al-Balad, on the southern side of modern Jeddah, is a crumbling but fascinating warren of multi-story houses made from coral. The main thoroughfare Medina Road starts from the northern side of al-Balad and runs all the way to the city. The Jeddah Corniche offers spectacular views of the Red Sea.

Jeddah was independently ranked 4th in the Africa / Mid-East region in terms of innovation in 2009 in the Innovation Cities Index and plans to build one of the biggest Central Business District in the Middle East. Notably, it is one of Saudi Arabia's primary resort cities and was named a Gamma world city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC). It also has many government offices and is known in the kingdom for its shopping districts, restaurants and cafes. The King Fahd Fountain is not only the tallest water fountain in Jeddah, but also the world, listed by the Guinness World Records organization as the highest water jet in the world at 312 meters (1,024 ft).
