Abstract : This study aimed to explore the concept of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in organizations, and to shed lights on its determinants and consequences. This is achieved through building a comperhensive perspective that specify all the factors determining this behavior and its outcomes.?It has been revealed that OCB leads to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency, employee moral, organizational survival, and to reduce turnover. On the other hand, a number of factors was found to determine the existence of this behavior including job satisfaction, commitment, fairness, leadership, tenure, age, organizational culture, organizational politics, and intrinsic motivation.?Finally, this study ends up with a number of conclusions, and academic and practical recommendations.
