Abstract : The thesis deals with the narrative language in the Holy Qur’an from the pragmatic perspective. It analyzes the story of Ibrahim- peace be upon him- which has come in twenty three places in nineteen chapters in Qur’an. Therefore, it is a case study of Ibrahim story. The importance of the research lies in the necessity of discovering the pragmatic aspects of the narrative language in the holy Qur’an as it would provide us with new insights for understanding the text of holy Qur’an. The applied part of thesis is the pragmatic analysis of Ibrahim’s story in Qur’an. It analyzes the acts of speech, the conversational Implicature, the presupposition and Dixies. The study was concerned with its pragmatic analysis to be related to the interpretations of the Qur'an that are related to the pragmatic studies and notions.
