Recycling campaign launched at KAU

A recycling campaign under the slogan "Let's Go Recycling!" was launched on Saturday December the 8th by the Department of Engineering and Environmental Geology of the Faculty of Earth Sciences in tandem with the Community Unit of the Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies (CEES).
 
The launching ceremony was attended by Dr Ammar Amin, Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Dr Iqbal M. Ismail, CEES's Deputy director for Technical Affairs, and Eng Najeeb Faqeeh, CEO of Waste Collection and Recycling Co. LTD.
 
Dr Bader Hakami, Head of the Department of Engineering and Environmental Geology and the campaign's supervisor, said the aim of the campaign was to foster a culture of recycling and stressing the importance of making use of the massive tonnage of recyclable solid waste.
