Services of the Department of Statistics and Information
The Department of Statistics and Information provides the service users with a range of vital and factual periodic and non-periodic services and information. It also helps subscribers and decision-makers to set future plans.
Periodic services:
- Producing statistics to be submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education, including statistics on the number of students and the administrative and the technical staff.
- Preparing annual follow-up reports on the University and the Deanship of Information Technology to be submitted to KAU Department of Planning, Budget and Follow-up. These reports should include the achievements of the Deanship of Information Technology and the number of employees in each fiscal year, in addition to the numbers of newly-admitted, registered and graduated female students of all KAU departments.
- Preparing the Deanship's annual report to be submitted to the administration of the university on the achievements of the Deanship.
- Supervising the annual KAU publications, including the statistical guide to all KAU graduates and the guide to all KAU academic, administrative and technical staff.
Non-periodic services:
- Providing necessary statistical information from all subscribers.
- Gathering, indexing and publishing the produced statistics.
- Modifying, reviewing and correcting the statistics.
- Publishing the statistics on different means of publications such as prints and the internet.
- Encouraging the exchange of statistical information and scientific and research publications between KAU and non-KAU departments.
- Making available research studies and consultation services to meet the needs of decision-makers.
- Supporting the use of the Internet in and outside the university.
- Gathering CVs of the teaching members of staff.
