Requests offered during the university stage

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Abdulaziz University offers group of services during the university stage and these are:

*      Issuing the university ID card

*      Apology for not taking the academic semester.

*      Postponing the academic semester

*      Majoring

*      Record reinstatement

*      Getting a statement

*      Study cessation

*      Dismissal from the university

*      Amending personal information

The following demonstrates the way of carrying out these requests

 

*      First: Information on issuing the university ID card.

  1. For new students, the university ID card is issued when receiving the documents directly or the student take an appointment to take photo in the Division of Achieve in the Deanship of Admission and Registration Division.

 

  1. For those who lost their ID card can ask for another one through visiting the Division of Achieve in the Deanship of Admission and Registration to have another one.

 

 

*      Second: apologise for academic semester.

1)      The student’s accumulative average must not be less than (2 out of 5).

2)      The student should have studied two academic semesters at least.

3)      The student can apologize not to take two successive academic semesters or there separate academic semester during his/her staying the university stage.

4)      The student should provide the apology for not having the academic semester through the e-services system available on line 5 weeks before the beginning of the final exams and according to the university calendar.

5)      These semesters which the student apologizes for not taking them are calculated from the regular study period.

6)      Be certain that the apology request is executed by the deanship through using the e-services system.   

 

*      Third: Postponement the academic semester

1)      The student has to provide the postponing request to the department of the educational affairs in his/her college before the end of the second semester which precedes the postponed semester to have the acceptance of the college council

2)      Postponing can be done for two successive academic semesters or there separate academic semester during his/her staying the university stage

3)      The student’s accumulative average must not be less than (2 out of 5)

4)      Be certain that the postponing request is executed by the deanship through using the e-services system.   

 

*     Fourth: Majoring

1)      Majoring is done according to the prerequisites of each college for that major.

2)      The student presents the majoring application form to the department of the educational affairs in his/her college according to dates specified by the college.

3)      Be certain that the majoring request is executed by the deanship through using the e-services system.   

 

 

*    Fifth: Record reinstatement

 

1)      The student presents to his/her college to reinstate the record through the first four academic semesters since that date of closing the record.

2)      The council of college accepts to reinstate the students’ record.

3)      The student’s record can’t be reinstated more than once.

4)      For the student who is academically dismissed; it is not permitted to reinstate his/her record.

5)      Visiting the register of the college to carry out his/her request, in case it is approved by the council of the college.

6)      Be certain that the request of record reinstatement is executed by the deanship through using the e-services system available on line.    

 

*    Sixth: Getting a statement

1)      The student must be registered in the university in the present semester.

2)      Getting the statement from the e-services system.   

3)      The student who postponed his/her study must see the register of the college in the deanship.

*      Seventh: Study cessation (for student who study according to the affiliation program)

In case the student didn’t afford the costs of the academic system with the determined period, he/she should present his/her apology request or his/her record will be closed at the end of that semester. This type of request is one among other requests that are available for students.

*    Eighth: Dismissal from the university

  

1)      The student is dismissed from the university if he/she gets three warnings

2)   The student is dismissed from the university if he/she is not able to graduate within the specified time for finishing his/her major.

3)      If the regulations and laws of the university are provoked by the student.

 

*    Ninth: Amending personal information

 

1.      Amendment is done for the student’s name and he/she has to bring the formal documents that approve this amendment.

2.      Amendment in the student’s nationality and he/she has to bring the required formal documents issued by the concerned parities that approve this amendment.

3.      Going to the archive office to complete the amendment form.

4.       Go to thé Registrer of thé Collège for thé required amendment

5.       Going to the division of photography to issue new university ID card.

6.      For amending the nationality, the student has to go to the department of examination directly.

7.      Be certain that the request of record reinstatement is executed through the e-services system available on line.

Visiting students


What is it?

 King Abdul Aziz University offer to the students of university of the Kingdom and the accredited universities the opportunity to have the subjects that are taught in the university

The following demonstrate the way of registering visiting students:

The mechanism of registering a visiting student from another university:

 

1)   The student has a letter of acceptance from his/her university to study as a visiting student. He/she has to provide a list of the subject he/she wants to study. Students who are expected to be graduated are prioritized.

2)   The subject that the visiting student wants to study must be in the academic table list of the university. 

 

 

 

3)   The university specified the number of the unit that the student is going to study. The student can take only 9 hours in the summer semester.

 

 

4)   The visiting student has to provide a formal letter from his/her university to the office of admission in the Deanship of Admission and Registration. This formal letter should include the subjects that he/she wants to study. The student should pay more attention to when writing the number and titles of the subjects correctly and according to the academic plan of King Abdulaziz University.

 

 

5)   Going to the register of the college to register the subjects.

6)   Getting the studying table through browsing e-services system available on line.

Graduation

What is it?

The student has the right to start the procedures of his/her graduation through chanaging his/her academic status in the semester that precedes the graduation semester from regular system to another status which indicates that he/she is going to be graduated.

The mechanism of getting the graduation document:

 

1)    The student has to finish the requirements of graduation in from his/her college and according to the prerequisites of the division and his/her accumulative average must not be less than (2 out of 5).

2)    The student gets the form from the deanship’s web site or from the register of the college.

3)    The form is approving by the college and sealed by the division.

4)    Delivering the form to the register of the college in the deanship and an enlarged copy of the civil ID card.
