In addition to the academic study, the college aims at investing students' free times in practicing non-semester activities though objective programs that help in developing the conception of participation and cooperation among students from one hand, and between students and teaching staff on the other hand where there are four committees in the college. A pioneer from teaching staff and a representative from students are chosen for every student committee to organize and coordinate the work of student members of these student committees according to the interest and desire of each member during the academic year.
1) Islamic Enlightenment Committee :Prof.Mahmoud Mohamed Samahi
This committee is concerned with spreading religious enlightenment between students and visitors of College of Dentistry through conducting religious meetings, spreading brochures, Islamic stickers, Islamic tapes, reminding of and paying more interest to religious ceremonies as well as organizing Umrah trips so that students can grow up in an environment that commits to Islamic conduct in dealing with each other, with patients and clients of clinics.
2) Social Committee:Khalid A. Al-Johani
This committee is concerned with improving social relationship between students in general, between students and teaching staff in addition to social linking to the external society. This committee also organizes social recreational trips inside and outside Jeddah to other cities in Saudi Arabia within which social programs are presented for enlightening the society in the field of dentistry. Both students and members of teaching staff participate in these trips in such atmosphere that promotes cooperation among them. In the end of each year, arrangements are made for the final ceremony of the college where a number of students participate under the supervision of teaching staff members in dramatic and oratorical ceremony in the college where all distinctive people are honored.
3) Cultural Committee:Dr.Mohammad S. Al-Zahrani
This committee raises the cultural level of students and college staff including employees, assistant technicians through organizing competitions and contests in academic groups, contests for technicians and employees, and awarding motivating prizes to participants in addition to training courses in all cultural and scientific fields such as computer and language courses. The college with a group of distinguished students who represent it participate in scientific and literary competitions between university colleges. The college has occupied the first position for more than a year.
4) Sporting Committee: Prof.Fadel Sobhy Othman
This committee organizes participation in the university sporting competitions between colleges through arranging training lessons and exercises to improve fitness standard of participating students. Light matches are also held between students and teaching staff in all sports. The university with its integrated sporting establishments to attract students for practicing sport.
