          Welcome to the fourth quarter 2011. The dates, the time and the hall for the course are shown on the "course description". Attendance at each class meeting is mandatory; allow sufficient time to get to campus and find the room. The course description details the schedule for our meetings, including dates allocated for assisments, along with other exams "both mid-quarter and final". The  course description also indicates the required and recommended textbooks. A special section entiteled "marks distribution" explains how you will be graded throughout the quarter. Class meetings will involve a variety of activities, including some lectures, discussion time, workshop time, and computer lab time. Be prepared to actively participate, since participation counts toward your overall performance. Be sure to review thecourse description thoroughly, and contact me promptly if you have any questions.
