KAU Honours Dr Hamza Kheshaifaty

Under the patronage of HE Prof Usamah Bin Sadiq Tayeb, KAU President, the KAU English Language Center held a dignified and moving ceremony in honour of Dr Hamza Kheshaifaty, the outgoing Director of the KAU English Language Center, on Sunday 2nd Zul Hijja 1429, corresponding to 30th November 2008 at Amassi Hall in Jeddah.

The ceremony, which was attended by KAU Vice Presidents and Deans of Faculties, was arranged in recognition of Dr Kheshaifaty's outstanding 3-year service as director of the Center.

The programme was opened with recitation of some verses from the holy Qur'an before Dr Abdulraheem Bin Abdurrahman Kinsara, the incoming Director of the English Language Center, delivered a speech in which he vowed to continue what Dr Kheshaifaty had started in terms of developing and disseminating human knowledge.

Later, Dr Shureim Al Subai gave a speech on behalf of the Center's academic staff. Dr Al Subai hailed Dr Kheshaifaty's strenuous efforts to develop and expand the Center.

In his speech, Dr Kheshaifaty said it had been an honour for him to devotedly serve the University throughout his 3-year reign. He also profusely thanked all those who had helped him to successfully carry out that challenging task.

After that, Prof Tayeb improvised a speech in which he said the event was being held as a mark of honour to Dr Kheshaifaty's meritorious service and laborious efforts which were crowned with tangible achievements.

Prof Tayeb also said he was convinced that Dr Kinsara would successfully maintain what Dr Kheshaifaty had started in pursuit of academic accreditation.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof Tayeb presented Dr Kheshaifaty with a captivating keepsake in appreciation of his invaluable service to the KAU English Language Center.
