KAU honors male and female retirees on the day of fulfillment

 

HE KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi patronized KAU retirees honoring ceremony today Wednesday May 4th, 2016. Guests, KAU vice-presidents, deans of faculties and faculty members attended the ceremony.

The ceremony started with a recitation from the holy Quran followed by an allocution by Dr. Wafa Al Yafi on behalf of the retirees in which she expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed to the organization of this function. She also pointed out that she and her colleagues from both campuses have dedicated a long period of their life serving this institution during which they have gained and delivered a great deal of experience and skills. Such achievements have been reflected by the university breakthroughs in terms of academic accreditations and the higher rankings among international universities in addition to the graduation of qualified generations of graduates that served and still serving this great nation. She also thanked HE KAU President, HE KAU Vice-president and the Dean of the women campus.

From his part HE. Prof. AlYoubi welcomed the audience and indicated in his speech for the occasion: "The University has always been a one family that cares for its students, for the educational process, and for generations who succeeded in serving this edifice of science and knowledge. Their efforts were for the sole purpose of promoting and upgrading this university despite tackling challenges and obstacles during certain periods of its life". He added:" All gratitude and appreciation go to our colleagues from both male and female campuses who were the pioneers of the founder's university and we will always need their consulting and ideas to serve their university.

In his speech, HE Prof. Mahraji KAU Vice-President and Chairman of the ceremony organizing committee, indicated that this ceremony aims at honoring elite faculty members and staff who served this country with dedication and sincerity and who deserve all our consideration. He also wished that this ceremony would not be their last presence on the university campuses and that they will to meet and interact for the benefit of this university.

Then the audience watched a video presentation in which some of these retirees talked about their professional life at KAU and the different advancements it achieved along these years.
