Medical Department marks World Diabetes Day
 An event was held Thursday by the Medical Department to mark the World Diabetes Day (WDD).

The event, which focused on diabetes education and prevention, was attended by Dr Abadullah M. Mohorji, KAU Vice President.

The WDD is held annually with the purpose of promoting greater awareness of the risk factors for diabetes, as well as disseminating tools for preventing it.

The day's activities included plasma glucose levels measurement, weight measurement, dental checks and healthy diabetes diet plans.

A new department aimed at providing patients with special needs with easy access to services was also inaugurated by Prof Mohorji on the sidelines of the events.
