The College of Arts Welcomes its Freshmen

On Monday, January 30, 2012, the College of Arts organized an introductory group meeting for freshmen students attended by the Dean of Arts, Dr. Osama Rashad Jastaniah and the department chairs. In his opening speech, Dr. Jastaniah welcomed the newly-enrolled students wishing them a very successful and productive academic experience at the College. Dr. Jastaniah went on to emphasize the fact that the college accredited undergraduate programs offer an expanded array of educational opportunities to baccalaureate students. He urged the students to carefully choose their future academic disciplines in accordance with their aspirations and interests. Thereafter, the heads of the departments took turns explaining to students the various courses and tracks offered by their corresponding departments. They stressed the fact that the programs in place provide students with the requisite skills and training required for employment in contemporary job market. Later, the dean of arts, the department chairs and the students participated in an open question-and-answer session during which they interactively discussed the issues and queries raised. The students went on to attend an exhibition held in the arts building lobby in which the representative of the college departments provided students with the necessary information and responded to their queries. In the end, everybody enjoyed breakfast that had been arranged for this special occasion.
