In 2004, I graduated with honors from Saudi Arabia’s King Abdul Aziz University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I have professional experience working at the Saudi British Bank (SABB): I received a certificate of training in 2004, and worked as a Customer Relations Representative from 2005 to 2007. While working for the Saudi British Bank, I pursued my educational goals by working on my Master’s degree in the evening. In 2007, I joined the Faculty of Economics & Administration at King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) as a teaching assistant. As Teaching Assistant, I teach portions of the class and help students prepare for exams. In 2008, although I only had one course left to complete my master’s degree in Financial Accounting, I moved to the United States; after transferring my graduate credits to Middle Tennessee State University, I resumed my graduate studies. During the first semester, I decided to change the specialization of my major from Financial Accounting to Accounting Information systems (AIS) because I believed that it is a field that would offer important research opportunities. In the spring of 2010, I started my master degree in Accounting Information System at Middle Tennessee State University and I had the confidence to participate fully in the rigorous academic dialogues and discussions of the accounting classes. In the fall of Dec 2011, I graduated with a master’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University. In early 2013, I was promoted as a Lecturer in the same department. I am a member of the American Accounting Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
