His Excellency, the President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Tarif bin Yousef Al-Ama, inaugurated the student activities for the academic year 1447 AH during a ceremony organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the slogan “Destination of Dreamers” on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the King Faisal Conference Center.
The ceremony began with the Royal Anthem, followed by a parade of student activity members. This was followed by a dialogue session moderated by Dr. Abdullah Baslim, Vice Dean for Student Activities and Skills, where students had the opportunity to share their success stories and achievements made possible through the support and empowerment provided by the university, transforming campus activities into inspiring models of success. The event also featured a theatrical and visual presentation entitled “The Dreamers’ Facade”, showcasing student activities, clubs, centers, and services offered to students.

The Faculty of Engineering also won first place in the Student Activity Excellence Award “Golden Sail”, followed by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in second place, and the Faculty of Law in third.
In the Oratory Competition, the first place went to Amir Al-Din Salindawan from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, second place to Saleh Lukic from the same faculty, and third place to Abdulmalik Hani Al-Qadi from the Faculty of Law.
In the University Poet Award, first place was awarded to Makram Abduljaleel from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, second place to Ibtehal Naseer from the Faculty of Law, and third place to Mohammed Sanga from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
The ceremony also honored Osama bin Fahd Hamed with the University Star Award in Rabigh, Mohammed Aied Al-Salmi with the Best Community Initiative Award in Rabigh, and Sarah bint Saad Al-Sumail from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities with the University Star Award at the Sulaymaniyah Branch.
In the King Abdulaziz University Stars Competition, first place was awarded to Abdulmalik bin Nabil Al-Huraibi from the Faculty of Communication and Media, second place to Yousef bin Ibrahim Hawsawi from the Faculty of Engineering, and third place to Majed bin Abdulilah bin Afif from the Faculty of Dentistry.
