THE EFFECT OF OZONE TREATMENT ON SHEAR BOND STRENGTH

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ozone application on the shear bond strength of resin composite using two different adhesive systems to both enamel and dentine substrate after different aging periods. Three hundred and sixty sound teeth were used in this study. The teeth were divided into two equal groups according to the tooth substrates. The teeth were received no ozone treatment, 20- seconds and 40-seconds. Total etch and self-etching adhesive systems were used and a resin composite cylinders were used to restore all teeth. The teeth were stored in 75 cthanol solution at different ageing periods.
