EDUCATION:

1.    1984, MB.Bch (very good with distinction) from the faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University , Egypt

2.    1991, Master degree in Biochemistry, from the faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University

3.    1996, MD degree in Biochemistry, faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES:

1.    From 1985-1986 I worked as house officer at Zagazig University hospital

2.    From 1986-1991, demonstrator in the Medical Biochemistry Department, faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University

3.    From 1991 to 1997 as assistant lecturer in the Medical Biochemistry, faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University .

4.    From 1997 till 2003 I worked as a lecturer in the same department.

5.     In 2003 I became assistant professor in the same department.

6.    From 2003 till now I am working in in the clinical biochemistry department, faculty of medicine, King Abdul-Aziz University , Jeddah, KSA


PERSONAL EXPERIENCES:

1.    In 1993 I joined the Schistosomiasis Research Project (SRP) with one of the principal investigator in faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University , Dr. M.M.. Hassan, our work focused on the detection of circulating Schistosomal antigens in infected children in Egypt

2.    In 1993 I had the chance to go to the United States in a training course for 10 weeks at Dr. Loverde lab. at the Microbiology department, Suny School of Medicine, Buffalo . My training course involved the purification of mono-and polyclonal antibodies and screening of different monoclonal antibodies against different antigens.

3.    From 1993-1998 I joined the kidney unit in Zagazig University Hospital working with Plasma Emission for measuring trace elements , HPLC and autoanalyzer for routine blood analysis.

4.    In 2001 I had another training course at Dr. Michael Phillips lab., department of Medicine, School of Medicine , Penn. University, involving monoclonal antibody production against Schistosoma mansoni glycoprotein antigens.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCES:

I have good experience working on autoanalyzer such as Hitachi and Elecsys 2010 and Dimension and some of the biochemical techniques such as chromatography including HPLC, electrophoresis, western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, protein purification, PCR and monoclonal antibody production and screening.
