New chair for crisis and natural disaster management research unveiled at opening of "National Economy: Challenges and Ambitions"
 
 
 
A new KAU-based chair for crisis and natural disaster management research was unveiled on Tuesday April 22nd.

The announcement was made during the opening ceremony of the 2nd conference on national economy organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administration in association with the Gulf Research Center from 22-24 April 2014.

The new chair is named after Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who attended the inauguration of the conference and donated SR5 million to the establishment of the chair.

Prof Tayyeb seized the opportunity to show his deep gratitude to Prince Muqrin for patronizing the event and sponsoring the new chair.

According to DE Ayman Fadil, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, 100 local and international speakers will take part in the three-day event, which will consist of 18 sessions.

The second day of the conference will witness a lecture on the role of military and security institutions in the national economy to be delivered by HRH Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard.
