HE KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi patronizes the closing ceremony of the Student Activity 2015-2016 which ill witness the honoring of students winners in the various deanship contests on Tuesday May 3rd, 2016 at the Deanship Theater.
The ceremony will commence with a recitation from the holly Quran and an expose of the main activities for the current academic year. There will also be a theatrical scene performed by the Deanship theater club entitled "a talk with the planet' followed by the speech ceremony. Then the honoring session will invite winners in the different student activities on stage to receive their prizes. Then the winners in KAU contests and annual harvest in addition to the university poet and university star awards winners will be announced. After that the announcement of the award winning contests such as faculties in the periodical index for activities measurement contest for the fourth period, volunteering context, general excellence in the student activities and the golden sail contest will be announced.
The Students Affaires Dean Prof. Abdulmonim Al hayani indicated that the Deanship is keen on encouraging students to interact with non- classroom activities that play an important role in the educational process.
Such activities are the object of the unlimited support of HE KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman AL Youbi and HE Prof. Abdullah Mahraji KAU Vice-president. This support is established based on a student activities strategy that focus on key aspects of paramount importance to the student. Moreover the strategy seeks to find a healthy and fruitful competitive environment as well as raise the competition level among students and faculties and other explore other objectives that serve the student interest and contribute to the development of his or her capacities and hone his or her skills.
From his part, Dr. Masoud Al Gahtani the deanship vice-dean for cultural and social activities stressed on the importance of students activity for it is part of the educational alliance through which the deanship seeks to attract students and incept them to participate and interact in students activities. This year's report on students activities show a more extensive participation ratio which reflect a level of engagement and care reserved to the student. Dr. Al Al Gahtani indicated that the new programs have contributed significantly to students' attraction, to the competitiveness level and all group activities in either sport, scientific or cultural fields.
