KAU President announces the opening of the Olympic Sport Village at KAU soon

 

KAU President Prof. Abdulrahman Al Youbi announced the opening soon of the Olympic Sport Village at KAU. The announcement was made during his annual meeting with KAU students held on Monday 25/04/2016 organized by the deanship of students' affaires. KAU Vice-presidents and Faculties' deans also attended the meeting.


Prof. Al Youbi indicated that the village is considered one of the most important KAU strategic projects and will open soon. The project includes Olympic stadium and courtyards fully equipped with international standards for all kinds of Olympic sports.


HE welcomed KAU students and indicated that the purpose of such meeting is to discover problems encountered by students during their course of study and find solutions for them. He also welcomed students suggestions regarding services and facilities made available for them by the university.


After that, students were given the chances for comments, questions and inquiries on services and programs offered by KAU and developing mechanism for the betterment of these facilities. The dean of students' affaires, the dean of admission and registration as well as faculties' deans took part in answering some the students' questions.


About the creation of new academic study lanes at the faculty of economics and management, KAU President indicated that KAU is in the process of studying and coordinating with concerned sectors regarding a job market need analysis that will determine the creation of those academic lanes. He pointed out that KAU is keen on providing all fields of specialization that fulfill the job market needs and open new horizons in front of its students.


Regarding a question about the number of hour for the English language prep-year program, HE stressed that the increase of the number of hours for the English program is in the interest of the student as English is a vital requirement by the job market as well as for the study plan of scientific subjects studied by the student.


At the end of the meeting, HE urged students for further efforts during exams' period for better grades wishing them all the success  and thanked the deanship of students affaires and the organizing committee of the meeting.
