Website of Prince Sultan ibn Abdulaziz Anti-osteoporosis National Campaign Launched at KAU

The website of Sultan ibn Abdulaziz National Campaign for the Prevention of Osteoporosis was launched by KAU President, HE Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, on Monday January 16th, 2012 in the presence of Prof Adnan Zahed, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr Mohammed Al-Aradawi and Dr Omer Al-Sharqi.

In statements following the launch, Prof Zahed stressed the campaign's significant role in preventing and raising awareness of the disease.

He also reiterated the Saudi government's massive support and keenness to combat the disease, which affects large segments of the Saudi community.

According to him, the four-year campaign is fully funded by Saudi private sector bodies, paying SR 100 million.
